How are you keeping up with your school work?

When I get home I have a snack, then prioritise my homework from the nearest due date to the latest due date and then allocate timings for each piece of work.

Are you happy with your friendship groups?

I have a main friend group and then a more spread out one and I am very happy with the way things are going with them.

Are you having trouble staying organised?

I have my homework diary (AKA my second brain) and I write everything that needs to be done, on my whiteboard. I am having no trouble in staying organised thanks to certain methods.

Have you managed to navigate your way around the school?

Yes I know where everything is, it's only the new design labs as I haven't had a lesson in them yet or been to them.

Have you participated in any extracurricular activities?

Yes, I do rugby and fencing, but I also have scouts and swimming out of school.

What subject do you enjoy the most and why?

I love physics as I love learning about how everything works and why certain things function the way they do.

What has been the highlight of your secondary school life so far?

I loved it when we were able to light bunsen burners in chemistry class as we could then start using them in practicals, because we now have our license.

How has the transition from primary to secondary school been?

At first when Covid came around it was slightly sad as it would affect how we could and couldn't do certain things that were traditional for the leavers to do, like our school play and residential. I found it quite hard as it was not going to be the same but still really looked forward to joining secondary school. I think the transition was as smooth as it could have been, even though we had to take measures seriously, we could still say goodbye but from a distance.

What do you like most about JHGS?

The fact that it is a much better learning environment and you have so many more things to learn and more opportunities.
